Tutorial: Choosing the Correct Statistical Test

This tutorial allows you the opportunity to choose the correct statistical test for a variety of research situations. A series of descriptions of research designs is provided. After reading about the design, we ask you to choose the best statistical test to examine the researcher’s questions. Feedback is given and expert help is available for every question. The task is not scored or graded.

This tutorial was initially created as part of a Mellon grant awarded to Amy Marcus-Newhall of Scripps College, Suzanne Thompson of Pomona College, and Mark Costanzo of Claremont McKenna College. The 2015 release was edited by Dale Berger of CGU.
